RON EARDLEY

After graduating from Glasgow School of Art (DA) he completed an additional year's course of study as a post-graduate student. On leaving GSA he joined Scottish Television where he worked as a graphic designer later going on to become head of graphics. As an artist and book illustrator, has undertaken numerous commissions for clients in this country and abroad. He paints mainly in watercolour and gouache and his preferred subjects are urban landscapes with a strong architectural content.

The inspiration gained from foreign travel is reflected in many of his paintings especially those of the streets and waterways of Venice which he visits frequently.

In recent years, his work has been on show at the Gatehouse, Open Eye and Art Exposure galleries and at various art fairs in Glasgow and London.
