I studied Interior Design and graduated with Distinction and the Principals Prize before working as a Commercial Interior Designer for many years and latterly self- employed in various art related ventures. Dabbling in art since a child at Saturday morning classes in the Art School, I only started painting seriously over the last couple of years. My abstract work has a strong contemporary design focus which began as a need to dress my own walls with something bold and exciting using drama to create an impact, allowing the artwork to become a focal point. My current palette includes watercolour, acrylic, ink and Dutch gold leaf which offers a wonderful luminosity attracting the viewer in. Simple framing in black or white keeps the work uncluttered and contains the art.
