TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Jan 1998-present Grays School of Art (Ad Hoc Lecturer, drawing & painting)

During my time at Grays I have been involved in teaching many aspects of visual art. My teaching was primarily in the First Year Department and covered the entire range of the course. This involved tutoring students in life drawing, life painting, portrait painting, tonal and colour still life and self motivated painting and drawing across the course.

I have also been required to carry out weekly assessments and give students both personal and group tutorials and have also been involved in the selection of entry portfolios.

I have gained further experience in the tutoring of second, third and fourth year students providing support both academically, through life drawing and general painting, and also on a more personal level by relating my own experiences.

June 1998 Summer School (Grays School of Art, general painting)

Here I taught general painting to beginners and to prospective first year students.
