Alison Auldjo

BA Hons 1999 Edinburgh School of Art


“ I am inspired by the reflective qualities of the sky and sea and seek to capture something of that in my work. Central to my work is the meeting of land, sky and sea: I simplify bands of colour and pattern to create abstraction.”

The materials employed centre upon the chosen subject matter of a piece – using varnish or wax for example in conjunction with the paint in order to heighten the qualities of water and light.
