Steven R. Higginson BA (hons)





Steven Higginson’s work deals with the figure, urban landscape and still life. While his work is influenced by a line of realists such as Caravaggio, Velazquez, Manet, Hopper, and contemporaries such as Andrew Wyeth and Bo Bartlett his work also carries on this tradition in a contemporary way by capturing aspects of modern life around him.

He always use a visual narrative within his work. This helps to connect the viewer and involve them with his painting. This narrative sometimes evolves with surrealistic qualities and this only develops within the actual process of painting.
