Curriculum Vitae
BIOGRAPHY

Born in South Lanarkshire, Scott won the title of “First in Art” in every year of his secondary education at Hutchesons’ Grammar before attending Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in 1996. In 2000 he graduated with a BDes with honours in Illustration and Printmaking.

Since graduating Scott has been a full time artist. Gaining an early reputation in South Lanarkshire led him to be guest speaker at Hamilton Rotary and Strathaven Arts Guild in 2002.

Scott has progressed to a nationwide recognition through his extensive collections at the MacDonald Highland Resort, Aviemore and the Marine Hotel, North Berwick. Scott is chiefly inspired by the Scottish landscape. The many lochs, glens, mountains and isles of the west coast are favourite subject matter for his distinctive, vibrant and atmospheric oils. The variety of land and seascape and ever changing light of the highlands and islands generates a diversity of approach to each new painting.
Scott has furthermore been inspired by the landscape of Tuscany following a recent and ongoing corporate commission from the Scottish owned 5 star Tuscan retreat “Borgo Di Colleoli”

Scott’s artworks hang in private collections across the UK, Europe, USA, Australia and Asia.
