Statement
Since setting up my own studio in 1998, I have been committed to painting full- time, and exploring the potential of acrylics and oils. Although I initially studied Graphic Design and Illustration, I have always loved painting. The themes and preoccupation in my work have shifted endlessly over the years, working with colour and light. Communication is the concern of my recent paintings, explored in a return to the basic language of colour. My current fascination is with immediacy versus the subtlety of colour, and its ability to express emotions and evoke response. Healing with colour for me has achieved balance, health and happiness.
