Studied Fine Art (Painting) at Glasgow School of Art 1991-1995


The themes I’m most interested in – movement and colour – are explored in these paintings, inspired by fish in a local pond. By building up glazes, over-painting and removing paint I hope to convey a sense of motion and depth. Combining this with a strong colour palette I aim to capture the watery world of the fish – one of both vibrancy and serenity; energy and calm.

I have shown work previously with scotlandart.com, in group shows in the Rowan Gallery and completed several commissions.
