Ronnie Russell

Ronnie was born in Aberdeen and has spent most of his life in Troon.

After spending many years as a textile designer, as part of his training, he attended a day release class at Glasgow School of Art. He is now a self-employed artist, illustrator and cartoonist.

He paints in oil, acrylic and watercolour and exhibits in many galleries throughout Scotland.

Ronnie regularly exhibits in a number of joint exhibitions including the Dunkeld Summer Show and the Paisley Art Institute. He has held solo exhibitions at Culzean Castle and Castle Douglas.

Ronnie’s work is also in many private collections, including a painting in the permanent collection of the House of Lords, London (Fielden House).
