John has lived in Fife for over thirty years. Originally from Glasgow he took up woodturning twelve years ago. Since then he has worked with Oscar Douglas of Ayrshire where he learned his basic knowledge of the art. He then worked along side the internationally renowned wood turner Jimmy Clews in Durham. It was here that John began focusing on the sculptural qualities of his work.

In addition to Scotlandart.com galleries John Milne has also exhibited at the Milton Art Gallery in Banchory and the Larks Gallery in Ballater.
