Artists Statement

�My passion is for the coastal and wild landscapes, both dramatic and tranquil. I want to achieve the full sense of a place both through my own reaction and my knowledge of the elements therein. Each piece is born from strong visual and emotional memories of a place, where associated personal thoughts and stories are as integral to the painting�s creation as the shapes, colours and light. I work in oils, both in the studio and direct from the landscape.�
