EMMA S DAVIS RSW
Born in Paisley in 1975, multi-award-winning artist Emma S. Davis' ethereal landscape paintings have taken her across the UK and around the world, always remaining grounded in her love for Scotland. Since graduating from the Glasgow School of Art in 1998 with a sell out degree show, she has developed a style sensitive to both the real beauty of the Scottish landscape, and the personal memories and mythologies attached to the places she depicts.
"My paintings are often personal. My moods and emotions about particular areas I am painting, the strength of light and most importantly the colour influence the way that I work each day. I aim to evoke a feeling of a place rather than reproduce a direct likeness." - Emma S. Davis
